An important flower which is used primarily as a filler for dried flower arrangements. Masses of star-like white flowers are produced on strong stems, from June to August. 45cm. (approximately 1100 seeds per gram).
Annual Varieties Cultural Details: Sow into module trays in February, cover lightly with vermiculite, germinates in 2 weeks at 15-18°C. Ready to transplant in 8-10 weeks, the last 4 weeks of which should be below 10°C to initiate flowers. Plant up at 25x30cm, and sowing to flowering takes around 5 months. See variety for seed count. Perennial Varieties Cultural Details: Sow March-June, germinates in 2-3 weeks at 18°C. Prick out into 9-10cm pots after 4-5 weeks, grow on at 15°C. Plant up at 30x30cm. 1,100 seeds per gram.
