An unusual cut flower with strong stems, extremely long lasting in water. Bright green sepals with dark almost black cones. 1.5m. (470 seeds per gram).
Annual varieties: 2000 seeds per gram (sow 1g for 1000 plants). Sow March, germinates in 2-3 weeks at 18°C. Cover with lightly with vermiculite. Prick out into 10cm pots for sale during Spring and early Summer. Sell in: 4-packs, or 9-12cm pots later in the season. End Use: Borders.
Perennial varieties: 5-6 weeks, cold frame, 1200 seeds per gram. 5g for 1000 plants. Cover with vermiculite. Echinacea: 240 seeds per gram (sow 15g for 1000 plants). Sow March, germinates 2-3 weeks at 18°C, sell in 9cm pot with colour label.
