Due to the complexity of, and frequent changes to, the regulations concerning the movement of seed and other plant material between countries, regions and trading blocs it is not possible to make the website fully operational for all potential order destinations. We have tried to provide some guidance below as to how easy it may or may not be to send our products to some destinations. However, this is not definitive and customers should always seek the advice of their local plant health and/or trade authorities before proceeding with an order.
Due to an open import policy on most products and quantities the website will currently accept export orders for the following destinations:
Shipping to Northern Ireland:
We are currently shipping orders to Northern Ireland as normal but with a few restrictions on onion sets, seed potatoes or vegetable plants. If you require any of these products it may be possible to send them but we will need to organise additional paperwork so please contact us via e-mail with your requirements.
Shipping to EU countries:
Although some agreement has been reached between the UK and EU regarding common standards for seed labelling, plant health import/export requirements, etc., the situation is still complicated so it is not yet possible for us to enable online ordering for EU destinations. If you have a seed requirement to ship to the EU please send us a breakdown of your requirement, including products and quantities, and we will endeavour to advise what is possible and what the additional charges may be. Due to the additional complications involved with obtaining Certificates of Inspection from the Soil Association we will not ship organic products to the EU.
Shipping to non-EU countries:
It is possible for us to send seed to most non-EU countries but the plant health import/export requirements vary greatly from country to country so it is not yet possible for us to enable online ordering for all global destinations. If you have a seed requirement to ship to a non-EU destination please send us a breakdown of your requirement, including products and quantities, and we will endeavour to advise what is possible and what the additional charges may be. For some non-EU destinations you may well be required to obtain an import permit before we can apply for a phytosanitary certificate.
For all destinations:
Please note that we do not accept any liability for any import duty, import tariffs or additional charges, incurred by the customer once the goods have been despatched from our premises. We will endeavour to assist customers with import paperwork but we do not accept liability where the correct paperwork, etc., was not requested before despatch. The customer is resposible for ensuring they understand and implement the necessary procedures in there particular country, for example obtaining import permits, entering CHED-PP applications on EU Traces, etc.. If we are asked to send goods without the necessary import paperwork then the liability (and cost) for non-delivery is the responsibility of the customer.
