Perennial, sylvestris: sow May-July, cleaned seed (2,000 seeds per gram, 2g for 1,000 plants) germinates 4-5 weeks at 15-18°C, cover lightly with vermiculite.
Perennial, hupehensis; sow March-April at 22°C, cover with a thin layer of vermiculite. Germinates in 14 days. Plug crop 13-15 weeks. Will flower August to October. Pot size 13-15 cm. Requires damp compost, do not let plants dry out.
Perennial, coronaria:
Mona Lisa: Greenhouse cut flower. Sow March-June, germinates 2-3 weeks at 18-21°C, cover seed with vermiculite. Use large cell trays for best results. Flowering October to April at cool temperature (8-12°C). Takes around 20 weeks sowing to start of flowering. Final plant density 20-40 per square metre.
Harmony: sow August to December for flowering February to May. Germinate at 15°C. after radicle emergence (approximatley 6-7 days) lightly cover with a peat/vermiculite blend.
