Moles Seeds is acutely aware of the seriousness of the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and is closely monitoring the advice from the UK government and National Health Service and acting upon it where necessary.
During this difficult time the safety of our employees and customers is of paramount importance and we have taken steps to reduce the risks wherever possible. However, we are also conscious that many of our customers rely upon the products and advice provided by Moles Seeds for the successful operation of their businesses and so we are committed to being a fully operational business wherever possible. A significant percentage of our business is related to the supply of vegetable seed that is essential for the production of food crops both here in the UK and overseas, from growers supplying the supermarkets to local producers and box schemes, so we feel it is imperative that we continue to operate at this time. Please be aware that if we are forced to close at the request of the UK government or due to staff absence then we will do so and this may be at short notice, but we will update our website if this happens.
In order to fulfil the above we have taken the following steps:
Trade and Mail Order sales: our website, phone, e-mail and other ordering channels will remain open where possible and we will continue to have orders delivered by the various delivery companies we utilise.
Trade Counter: our trade counter is now closed and will remain closed until the situation regarding risks to employees has improved. If you select the ‘Collect at Trade Counter’ option on our website then your order will be held until we can make suitable delivery arrangements.
Sales representatives: our Sales Representatives will be working from home and will not be making customer visits or attending trade shows until the situation has improved.
Service status:
As you can imagine we are extremely busy at the current time, with a high demand for vegetable seed products, but we are endeavouring to fulfil orders as quickly as possible. At present there is a delay of 5-7 working days between order receipt and order despatch (subject to stock). Our delivery providers are telling us that they are also experiencing high parcel volumes with some delays in parcels going through their networks (varying between 1-4 days).
We are trying to keep our phone lines open to provide customer support and take orders but we are approaching capacity. We would appreciate it if you could have your order decided upon before phoning, with the product codes, required quantities and payment details readily to hand.
