The recently introduced and unique Champion series is an annual rather than a biennial, so does not need cold temperature to initiate flowers. Flowers in around 15-16 weeks from sowing. 65cm. End Use: Cut flower.
Champion type: Sow November to the end of February - flowers late April from a November sowing, 2-3 weeks at 15-18°C, cover pellets lightly with vermiculite. Grow on at 15-18°C, and plant out at up to 25 plants square metre. Minimum temperature 7-8°C. Supplementary lighting is not essential.
Biennial type: Biennial, sow May-July, cover seed very lightly with vermiculite, germinates 2-3 weeks at 15-20°C. 3,500 seeds per gram, 1g for 1,000 plants.
