Annual Annual climber, sow direct into flowering position; takes 2-3 weeks to germinate, and 12 weeks to flower from sowing. 15 seeds per gram. Perennial Perennial climber, Stratified seed supplied, but germination is still slow, taking some 3 months for the needle-like shoot to appear. Can be sown cool throughout the year, forming a small, tender tuber at the end of the first season.
