The first petchoa from seed is a vibrant calibrachoa colour with the flower size, form and habit of a petunia. It has a controlled mounded, spreading habit that makes it ideal for pots, containers and baskets. Germination is cold-durable and can be produced in early spring, a flowering 9-hour daylength response means these make excellent spring and summer sales.

Annual, sow 1 seed per cell on the compost surface from February-April. Germinates in 7-14 days at 20-25°C. Prick out after 4-6 weeks into packs or pots as required. Grow on at 16-18°C; growth regulators can be used, according to the manufacturers’ guidelines, but avoid at visible bud stage or later as it can reduce flower colour intensity. Sowing to flowering takes around 11-13 weeks. Sell in: 9-10cm pots. End Use: Baskets and containers.
