Direct sown annual, Common Flax. Produces an abundance of sky blue flowers. Useful in borders and as a cut flower. The fibres from this plant are used for the production of linen. Height 70cm. 300 seeds per gram.
Perennial varieties 4 weeks at 18°C, sow May-July.
Sell in: 10cm and larger pots.
End Use: Borders, rockeries.
Annual varieties:
Sow February-March, cover lightly with vermiculite, do not exclude light, germinates in 2-3 weeks at 15-18°C.
